Welcome to the Kosovo Green Building Council
The Kosovo Green Building Council (KGBC) is a non-governmental organization established in
October 2024, dedicated to promoting sustainable building practices, education, and training in
Kosovo. We focus on improving the building performance of structures through energy-efficient
solutions, green architecture, and sustainable development. As we work towards shaping a
greener future, KGBC actively collaborates with similar Green Building Councils in the region,
including those in Croatia and other countries, to strengthen our collective efforts in fostering
sustainable construction practices and advancing green building standards.
How to Become a Member of KGBC
At the Kosovo Green Building Council, we offer a variety of membership options to suit

According to the analyses of the survey conducted for annual reporting purposes, the following results were measured:
Through targeted outreach activities, networking events, and memberships, KGBC has contributed to increased visibility and adoption of sustainable construction practices while fostering a more structured and collaborative ecosystem. As a result, KGBC engaged 58 individuals and 47 businesses, facilitating improved market connections and knowledge exchange. As a result of KGBC activities, 41 individuals have increased their income and 5 new employment opportunities have been generated, indicating early economic benefits linked to green building activities. In addition, the intervention has contributed to mobilizing CHF 26,829 in investments and generating CHF 6,567 in revenue, while 16 individuals improved their skills.
These results demonstrate that KGBC is not only raising awareness but also beginning to translate industry coordination into tangible market outcomes and income opportunities.
